Computer Problems

Sorry about the delay again in updating this blog, I have been somewhat without a computer, and it is too frustrating to go into detail about what is going on with my computer. For now I am just going to have to use my mom's from time to time. I will be betting a new computer soon. I am thinking about a laptop specs below;

Inspiron 1501
AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TK-53
LCD panel 15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display
MEMORY 2GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 2 DIMM
VIDEO CARD ATI RADEON® Xpress1150 256MB HyperMemory™ (Integrated)
HARD DRIVES Size: 120GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
Network Card and Modem Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem
Combo/DVD+RW Drives 24X CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive
Sound Card Integrated Sound Blaster® Audigy™HD Software Edition
Wireless Networking Cards Dell Wireless 1390 802.11g Mini Card (54Mbps)
Primary Battery 53 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
Should do what I need to. I had a laptop once, (and loved it!) before my father-in-law stole it and said the courts could settle the matter. I asked my lawyer about it, and he said it would cost more in fees than what the laptop is worth, especially since it is a few years old now. So, I figure it isn't /wasn't really worth the hassle. (A curse on both your houses Harley!) Ok, that was mean, I admit, and God does say vengeance is His...so I leave it in His very capable hands.

I started excersising today. I got up at 5:30 ran one mile in just under 15 minutes, I hope to start running greater distance and shorter time. (IE; avg time 10/mi or so.)
I did a few crunches, and 20 jumping jacks, and 10 push-ups. Some of you may be thinking "that isn't much", and it isn't for most, but I have been out of shape for a long time, and it is when you are out of shape and fat.
Now if I can get my diet down, I would be set. I have almost no self-dicipline when it comes to food. I like eating junk too much. If I just stop eating junk, then my body will get uesd to eating healthy again. I just have to make up my mind to do it. Lots of protein, fruits, and veggies, stay away from the junk food! I am getting ready to make breakfast. I am thinking eggs and some whole grain toast, some milk, and a bannana. I don't really like bannanas I do like bannana shakes and thats what I bought them for, however, I need to eath them before they go bad.
In painting news...

Painting Update

In Memory of the victims and their families from 9/11/2001
I want you whom are reading this to take a moment and say a prayer for them, and for the service personnel and the leaders of our country.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled blog...

I finished Gorman, and a Lancer recently. Now, I am working on 2 stormsmiths and a Journeyman Warcaster. After that, I only need to paint: Centurion, Nemo, Sam and the Devil Dogs, and a Nomad.

Also, I am getting ready to place an order for gaming stuff. I have put off getting a case for too long. So, I figured if I get a case, I may as well get other things to get free shipping. Most of the other things I got are supplies.

On another personal note - why is it I feel the need to wash my hands like 30 times a day, and I don't want to touch anyhing that has not been sanitized after I wash my hands, unless I am wearing rubber gloves? I don't want to turn into
Howard Hughes

Update

Too much has happened since my last update, and I apologize for the lack of updates and delay. Well, first the good news. My wife and I are getting back together, things seem to slowly start working out one step at a time. My son is growing up he says so much now. I got laid off of work right before labor day. (My company has seasonal layoffs, so I don't know if it is good or bad that it happened a little sooner this year.) I just finished painting my Trenchers and I am almost done with Gorman Di Wulfe. I will post pics as I get them. Here is a updated picture of my son to pass the time. Speaking of passing the time, I have just accquired about 30 hours of classic Looney Tunes cartoons!

Continued Employment

Well, I had the meeting with the "Bob's" today. (My boss and his boss.) If you don't understand the "Bob's" reference, then you really need to see Office Space. Anyone who has ever worked in an office environment should see it. Ok, time to cut to the chase. At the meeting, my boss offered me a new job outside of the sales department and more along the lines of customer service/ computer operator. I will be taking information from the sales team, and putting it into the computer. When I am not doing that, I answer incoming calls, and deal with current customers. All in all, a LOT less stress, and I remain at the same wage/hours as before. Life is good.

And under the "because I said so" department...

Hilary Duff is still hot.

Call me Mr Green...

I went to church for the first time in several weeks today. I wore my new black suit, white shirt, black tie, Ala Reservoir Dogs. (Hence the title of this post.) I purchased new sunglasses, and with the ear bud from my MP3 player in, I ended up looking more like an Agent from the Matrix. (I know, I am such a geek.)

Had dinner with my separated wife and little boy. Picture posted above. (He turns a year old a week from this coming Friday!) His vocabulary is improving; he says, "Dada", "ball", "mama", "duck", and can shake his head "no".

After eating, we went over to Toys "R" Us, so I could look for a present for my niece's b-day. I was thinking a rock-tumbler, or a crystal growing set. Which got me thinking about what to get for my boy. I ended up buying him a big yellow ball today. (He loves it.) After lunch and shopping we parted ways, and I went through the drive-thru at Tim Horton's for my daily dose of Horton's coffee.

I need to paint! For some reason, I lack the motivation. (Kinda like practising my guitar.) So, what do I do instead? I watch Fight Club. It had been a few years since I had seen it. I forgot a lot of it. I may buy it yet.

So, painting, I have to paint Rengrave yet. My version will be posted as soon as I edit the pics. I hope it will turn out as good as Privateer's catalog model.

I saw 300 yesterday, it was great! I may see it again. My buddy Mike paid for my ticket and snacks for my b-day (wich was last Monday). (Thanks again, Mike!)

ON a more serious note; my wife told me today that she has to put her dog down after having her for a very long time. I know it is hard to lose a member of the family that way. I may take half a day off work (if I still have a job, see below) to be there for her. When I had to put my cat down that I had had a long time, nobody was there with me afterwards, so I don't want her to have to go through the same thing.

With work, my sales were so bad last week, that three of the four managers met on a Saturday, when only one of them "had to work", to discuss my future with the company. I don't know if they will terminate me, or find a new place for me, and my boss told me he wasn't sure what was going to happen either. I have a meeting with him tomorrow to discuss it, hope all goes well. If not, hey, suddenly I have a whole lot less work-related stress, and a whole lot more financial stress!

Well, that was all. I know this post was kinda all over the place, and I apologize, but there was a lot to relay, and sometimes, I am a little "A.D.D".
